
CAMPUS HANGOUT FAQS

What is Campus Campout/Hangout?
For the past 16 years, our school community has come together on one fabulous weekend, camping out under the stars. Since construction, we have had to scale back the camping part of the event. But, we have put a lot of effort to make sure everyone has an amazing time together.
What is included in the price of the ticket?
So much fun!! But, more specifically, arts and crafts, games, dance party, bounce houses, movie and
popcorn.
Do I need to pre-register?
We’d love everyone to pre-register on our website https://www.friendsofcastleheights.org/ Pre-
registration opens September 14 and will close on September 28th. The price for pre-registering is $10.00 per person. We won’t turn you away at the door, but the price will increase to $15 per person the day of the event.
When can I come to the event?
Gates open at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday 10/4. You are welcome to come anytime during the day. The movie will start around 7:30pm.
Are dinner and dessert included in the fee this year?
No. The cost of providing dinner to every attendee would have dramatically raised the cost per camper. We encourage campers to bring their own food or purchase food from an assortment of food trucks that will be on Castle Heights Avenue. 5 th grade will also be selling snacks.
Can I bring my own beverages?
Yes. There will be a water station and there is a filter by the bathroom, so BRING A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE. And of course, NO ALCOHOL!!!!
Can kids bring their scooters?
NO. Kids (or adults acting like kids) cannot bring scooters or any other wheeled vehicles.
What about T-Shirts?
T-shirts will be sold on selected days at school until they run out. T-shirts are $17 per shirt for kids and $20 per shirt for adults.
Will we be able to campout again in the future?
We hope so! As our school goes through these growing pains, we hope to find a way forward to bring back the camping element of this event.
